You thrive on tailoring room experiences to guests' needs at our hotel. Managing requests from start to finish is your asset – from reservations to understanding preferences, engaging in meaningful conversations, and ensuring seamless coordination of all related details. If a couple mentions celebrating a wedding anniversary in Amsterdam, you extend warm congratulations and promptly arrange for a bottle of champagne in their room upon arrival. Your meticulous notes in the system guarantee the front desk have precise instructions. Your approach is characterized by a genuine smile, boundless enthusiasm, and empathy, even when addressing concerns. There's no limit to your capabilities. In addition, you will be:

  • confirming and inputting all room reservations meticulously into our reservations system;
  • managing a variety of tasks, from handling incoming phone calls and internet bookings to responding to emails promptly;
  • taking charge of daily tasks, such as checking arrivals and reservations based on rate, market segment, payment method, notes, and traces;
  • collaborating with the Front Office team to ensure they are well-informed, providing necessary details and ensuring all backups are attached in the daily folder for seamless operations.

You will work in a hotel that works together with the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a total combined conference space of over 1900 m2, including 11 modern and spacious conference and directors’ rooms. Through the emergence of ijVENUES, Amsterdam’s new exhibition centre, everything only becomes bigger and better. On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel. In short: we have it all.

Guest satisfaction is your full focus. For you, every request is different and unique. You take all requests seriously and find out the guest's needs. You know how to sell our products without being too obvious. Just subtle and pleasant for our guests. You do this using your enthusiasm, upselling, and negotiation skills. And your humour? You make good use of that when the situation calls for it. We enjoy having fun with our guests.You must have:

  • a positive attitude and a sincere passion for delivering outstanding customer service;
  • a team player mindset, dedicated to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment;
  • flexibility to work one Saturday per month.
  • proficiency in both written and spoken English; knowledge of Dutch is an added advantage;
  • familiarity with OPERA or other Property Management Systems would be a valuable asset.

We offer

Of course, we want you to have an optimal experience at Mövenpick. That’s why we are offering:

  • a monthly gross salary of between €2.298 and €2.858 in accordance with scale 5 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry;
  • a contract of 38 hours per week;
  • 25 leave days and time off for any overtime;
  • extra day off during your birthday month;
  • a travel allowance above up to €200 per month, on the basis of the actual number of kilometres;
  • a night-shift allowance of 20% and a Sunday allowance of 5%;
