Curious about the role?

As Head of Marketing BeNeLux you are responsible for developing and implementing the brand and marketing strategy for our Economy and Midscale brands and Accor projects in the Benelux region. Your aim is to create strong brands that drive brand awareness, preference and deliver brand/loyalty contribution. Furthermore, you will lead collaboration with our wider Northern Europe team ensuring consistent approach to building brands and driving revenue.

You will be able to..

manage a team of two headcounts and Interns.

You will..

monitor all brand Key Performance Indicators (Awareness, Perception, Visibility, Direct web/loyalty contribution, Guest satisfaction/RPS), develop action plans when required. 

You will be..

the brand champion in the Benelux region, responsible for brand standards (essentials) management and communication. Moreover, you will be the Marketing department budget owner, responsible for budget management and administration.

You will have..

the country lead for agency relationships (PR, social design etc) and local marketing partnerships.

What are your accountabilities?

  • Planning & Implementation: Country lead on brand marketing & communication plans development and implementation. Own the brand roadmap and ensure that key stakeholders such as operations, revenue management and talent & culture are involved, clear on planning and deadlines are met;
  • Brand Awareness/Communication: Country lead on brand campaign and tactical campaign content rollout across paid, earned and owned channels (working with UK CX team); 
  • Brand Experience/Product/Quality: Manage and communicate new brand product and service rollout, regional brand owner and champion. Aligned to brand experience roadmap – enrich brand pillars and identifiers. Ensure consistent delivery of design, product and services and guest touchpoints through up-to-date brand DNA, Toolkits and ongoing communication. Monitor and take action to ensure quality;
  • Partner Management Country lead point of contact for the network and related partners/ owners/ franchisees. You will be responsible for the relationship between marketing and /managed/franchise hotels and briefing local marketing team accordingly. Development and implementation of key tools specifically designed for partners;
  • You will be based in Amsterdam and will need to travel within the BeNeLux region to attend meetings and visit the hotels. In your role as Head of Marketing Benelux (Eco, Mid, Accor) you will report to Claire, our Brand Director Northern Europe (based in London).

Who are we looking for?

  • An enthusiastic, wide oriented, easy adjustable and open minded Marketing expert;
  • You present the following skills and accomplishments;
  • Bachelor in Marketing or Business related studies;
  • Experience in similar brand marketing role for a minimum of six years;
  • Experience leading 360 cross-dept. brand plans (e.g.Talent & Culture, Digital and Operations);
  • Proven expertise in 360 brand/tactical campaign planning and delivery;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Experience in franchise/partner models;
  • Excellent communication skills (influencing, negotiating and presenting);
  • Dutch and English speaker (additional European languages a bonus);
  • Copywriting is essential;
  • Ability to study, analyse and interpret complex activities and information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches;
  • Must be a team-player with enthusiasm to share knowledge.
